L2 Motivational Self System and Learning Approaches of High School Students

This study identifies the level of L2 motivational self-system (L2MSS) consisting Ideal Self, Ought-to and Learning Experience, application deep surface learning strategies on high school students regarding gender grades. The is designed in both correlation descriptive comparative models. research sample composed 202 students. Two questionnaires are used collection data: Motivational Self System Questionnaire Student Process Questionnaire. SPSS 22 to analyze data findings show that L2MSS moderate most frequently reported sub-category Experience. Regarding gender, levels each category female participants greater than those males. In terms proficiency, with higher grades tended have an motive unsuccessful also reveal moderately widely ones, approaches varies substantially favor females. Besides, low use more successful learners. Finally, l2 self tend strategies.
